Visakhapatnam: Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Maha Yagnam from March 26

Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Maha Yagnam will be performed at Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam from March 26, informed Executive Officer of the temple S Srinivasa Murthy.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, the EO said that temple authorities are making elaborate arrangements for the maha yagnam and it would be performed from March 26 to April 1.
On the concluding day, ‘maha purnahuti’ would be held. Devotees can participate by paying Rs 3,000 for a couple per day in the yagnam. Darshan, prasad, copper idol of swamy will be distributed to them.
Temple Sthanacharyulu TP Rajagopal briefed the rituals performed as part of the yagnam.
He stated that priests from major temples are arriving in Simhachalam to perform yagnam in a grand manner.
On April 1 ‘maha purnahuti,’ ‘avabhrudham,’ ‘shanti kalyanam,’ ‘ritvik sambhavanam’ would be performed as part of the rituals.
Temple chief priest Godavarthi Srinivasacharyulu, executive engineers Srinivasa Raju and B Rambabu, temple officials Anand Kumar and Hari Naidu were present.
