The 12thedition of Miss South India was held recently at Marriot Hotel & Convention Centre. This edition brought together the youth of South India reflecting the culture and their tradition. The final event of the pageant was a three and a half hour programme with three sequences and cultural extravaganzas and was directed by Ajit Ravi Pegasus.

17 contestants including Alieena Catherin Amon, AnuTressa George, Faheema Fathima, Gayathri Suresh, Hanisha K, Hannah RejiKoshy, Khushboo K V, Meenu Krishnan, NamithaAradhya, Nasreen Sultana Mazhar, NehaShetty, Rachel David, RishikaNaik, SnehalSanthoshKarkera, Srinidhi R Shetty, SruthyMadhavan, TinaMangwani walked the ramp for the grand finale.
Alieena Catherin was adjuged the Amon Miss South India 2015 from Kerala. She won a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 20,000 worth contract by Pegasus. The first runner up was Neha Shetty from Karnataka who won a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and Rs 20,000 worth contract by Pegasus. The second runner up was Gayathri Suresh from Kerala who won a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 worth contract from Pegasus.
The event was judged by renowned personalities like Geeta Krishna, Director; Dr Ajmal Ameer, actor and model; Ambika, actress; Deepika Subramanian, Miss Queen of India; Nikitha Narayan, actress and Sajimon Parayil, designer, actor and model. The grooming sessions prior to the finale was held at Beaumonde the Fern, Cochin, Kerala.
These sessions consisted of yoga, meditation, personality development, catwalk, beauty tips, photoshoot, interaction and talent search. This helped the contestants to enhance their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. Grooming section was completely focused on the culture and tradition of South India.
The girls were groomed by an expert panel of fashion choreographers and trainers –Mr. Sameer Khan of Elite Model Flattt; Ms. Valentina Ravi of Valen’s Model Management, Promitha Banerjee, NuthanManohar and JebithaAjit, MD, Pegasus. As part of the CSR activities for the first time, funds raised through the event was utilised to support the Lions Clubs International Foundation and Charitable Lions Permanent Projects in the city.
