With ‘Bengal Tiger ‘set to open in screens this Thursday, Raashi Khanna shares insights about working for the actioner, bonding with Tamannaah and also clears the air surrounding her relationship with Naga Shaurya

Raashi Khanna, a hot property in T-Town presently, insists she never had any apprehensions that Tamannaah will hog all the limelight in ‘Bengal Tiger’. “When director Sampath Nandi narrated me the script, I was convinced with my role. I play an intelligent girl and my track explores the relationship that I share with my father (played by Rao Ramesh). It has its own importance in the overall scheme of things. I even lost a few kilos for the role,” she smiles.

Admittedly, the ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’ girl found the going tough when it comes to shaking a leg for fast numbers in the film. “Yeah, the film’s soundtrack had energetic tunes and I found it hard to match the steps of Tamannaah and Ravi Teja. They were at ease and I took my time and rehearsed harder than ever to groove, but it was all fun,” she laughs uproariously.

Describing Tamannaah as a sweet co-star, the Delhi-born says, “She was of great help on the sets and I learnt a lot from her. She corrected my hair, make-up and body language on multiple occasions during the shoot. Which actress will do all those? She also doled out some acting tips. She’s a pro, but was always humble and we bonded big time,” adding, “Ravi Teja is bundle of energy. I feel older than him in terms of energy levels he generate (laughs).”

From going de-glam in her launch pad to a sought-after hottie, Raashi explains that she’s enjoying the transformation process. “I believe I can excel only if I do different roles and don’t like being labeled. I would love to be part of more commercial films. I just want to explore myself as an actor and play as many characters as I can,” she exclaims.

Raashi believes in going with the flow and shifting base to Hyderabad is a step in that direction. “I’m happy and enjoying my stint in Tollywood, and would love to do more Telugu films. Since I have a series of films lined up, I’ve decided to move here for good. Moreover, I was tired of staying in hotels,” she elucidates, adding, “There was a small get together the other day at my home and people said I started partying after I moved into a new house. But I’m a recluse in real life.”

Talking about Naga Shaurya, Raashi confides that he’s a good friend and they have never dated. “There's absolutely no truth behind it (laughs). We never dated and honestly, Shaurya is a good co-star and friend. I did not react to it because I felt it was pure gossip. I’m still single and happy being so,” she signs off.
