APEPDCL to conduct Energy Conservation Week

Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) will conduct Energy Conservation Week from December 14 to create awareness about energy conservation, energy efficiency and solar energy among power consumers, according to Chief General Manager B Ramesh Prasad.
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) will conduct Energy Conservation Week from December 14 to create awareness about energy conservation, energy efficiency and solar energy among power consumers, according to Chief General Manager B Ramesh Prasad.
Disclosing about the week-long programme, Ramesh Prasad said here on Saturday that it begins with the inaugural function at the Corporate Office on December 14, an awareness rally will be taken out on the RK Beach on December 15 involving the Vizag Circle staff, consumers and other stake holders and a meeting will be held with the Residential Welfare Associations, applicants of solar roof-tops and solar rooftop material suppliers at the Corporate Office on December 16 at 5 pm.
He said that a quiz competition on energy sources and energy conservation for school children will be held at the Corporate Office on December 17 at 3 pm, an interactive session with consultant of Energy Conservation Ramana Rao open for public and staff at the Corporate Office on December 18 at 5 pm and a drawing competition for school children on ’energy conservation and non-conventional energy sources will be conducted at the Corporate Office on December 19 at 9 am. On the last day on December 21, paper and poster presentation on ‘energy conservation’ will be conducted by the engineering college students at the Corporate Office at 10 am to be followed by valedictory at 5 pm.
