Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad released the NABARD loan plan at the Collectorate on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Neetu Kumari Prasad said that the 2016-17 plan was 15 per cent higher than that of last year. Since the RBI changed the guidelines of priority sectors, the resource based loan planning prepared through NABARD would help in the development of the district.

Out of Rs 8,267.59 crores, 53 per cent amount (i.e. Rs 4,382.81 crore) was allocated for crop loans, 18 per cent (Rs 1501.23 crore) for Agriculture and Agro-based investment loans, 23 per cent (Rs 1,874.37 crore) for handicrafts, cottage, small and medium scale industries and six per cent (Rs 509.18 crore) for other priority sectors such as housing, education, basic social facilities and solar energy.
