Eluru: MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao (Bujji) has said the extension of roads in the city will be taken up at a cost of Rs 28 crore.
He laid the foundation stone for the construction of the double-lane road at Satavahana Nagar in Sanivarapupeta area here on Tuesday. He said that it was decided to conduct 150-year celebrations of Eluru city. For this, a plan to extend main roads would be done a cost of Rs 28 crore, he said.
The MLA said that the present double-lane road of Satavahana Nagar would be constructed with Rs 50 lakh and a centre divider would be constructed.
He thanked the industrialist, Briz Gopal Lunani, and other donors for giving funds to construct the road. ZPTC member Matta Rajeswari and sarpanch Lurthamma participated in the programme.
