A woman Assistant Sub-Inspector and a woman constable fell unconscious due to sunstroke while discharging duties for Chief Minister tour at Tammileru Aqueduct at Janampeta village in Pedavegi mandal of West Godavari district on Saturday. During Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s tour to West Godavari district, heavy police security has been arranged in all the places of the CM visit. 

Eluru: A woman Assistant Sub-Inspector and a woman constable fell unconscious due to sunstroke while discharging duties for Chief Minister tour at Tammileru Aqueduct at Janampeta village in Pedavegi mandal of West Godavari district on Saturday. During Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s tour to West Godavari district, heavy police security has been arranged in all the places of the CM visit.

As part of this, Ch Vijayalakshmi, constable of Eluru Women Police Station along with other constables attended duty at Janampeta Tammileru Aqueduct on Saturday morning around 9 am. Around 1 pm, Vijayalakshmi fell unconscious. On seeing this, Eluru One Town Assistant Sub-inspector T Vedakumari and another constable shifted her to Eluru Government Hospital in police jeep.

While Vijayalakshmi is undergoing treatment at the hospital, the ASI Vedakumari also fell unconscious at the hospital. The doctors on duty immediately attended on both the police personnel and started treatment. The doctors on duty said that due to sunstroke both women fell unconscious. They are recovering at the hospital.
