The personnel from AP Special Protection Force have been participating in the awareness rally since December 27 to January 7. The rally began at Srikakulam and is scheduled to reach Anantapuram, with several teams completing the tour in a relay model. The Vijayawada SPF zone took over the rally at Eluru on December 31 and two batches clocking the distance from Eluru to Ongole.

On Tuesday, the third batch in the region started the rally with 150 members after the judge flagged it off. “Cycling is a healthy as well as an environment-friendly habit,” said Priyadarshini, wishing that these kinds of rallies brought necessary awareness among public. The SPF commandant, K Narasimharao said that the rally would continue up to Allur and would be handed over to the Anantapur SPF region commandant to finish the remaining stretch in time. The SPF director general, Madireddy Pratap, police, legal officers and the locals participated in the rally.
