Two boys drown in tank
Two students drowned in a small pond at Kagitalapur village in Manubolu mandal on Wednesday. Another boy, who also drowned in the water body along with them, could swim to safety.
Nellore: Two students drowned in a small pond at Kagitalapur village in Manubolu mandal on Wednesday. Another boy, who also drowned in the water body along with them, could swim to safety.
According to villagers, Vinay, Ajay Kumar and another boy ventured into the local tank for swimming in the afternoon. One boy doesn’t know swimming hence remained near the bund.
Vinay and Ajay Kumar who went farther into the waters, drowned as they could not swim at that depth. The boy who was at the tank bund came out of the tank and informed the villagers of the mishap. Villagers who rushed to the pond retrieved the bodies.
Sarvepalli constituency TDP in-charge Somireddy Rajagopal Reddy visited the residences of the boys and consoled the family members.
