Sam is back in the big league

Good days seem to be coming back to Samantha, who apparently is having her best time in Tollywood, particularly off-late. With as many as three films (‘Brahmotsavam’, ‘A...Aa’ and ‘Janatha Garage’) in her kitty, the petite actress has once again become the most sought-after girl for Tollywood filmmakers.

The word is that Sam, who recently joined the sets of ‘Brahmotsavam’, has been approached recently for another big budget ‘Rundraksha’. Thrilled by the script and the filmmaker, Krishna Vamsi, the elated Sam has given her consent, almost instantaneously.

A source close to the unit says, “Sam will be seen in a role that has a lot of substance besides providing ample scope to exhibit her acting skills. She’s looking forward to it.” Samantha signing the film would certainly mean a big move for her since the director is known to extract the best from his actors.

It may be noted that Sam’s ‘golden girl’ tag came under the scanner when none of her Telugu films was a hit at the box-office last year. She is sure to capitalise on the opportunity that has come her way to reinvent her Tollywood career. The sci-fi film will also see Ramya Krishna (Krishna Vamsi’s wife) play a pivotal role. The film, which is expected to go on floors later this year, will be high on VFX.
