Baahubali 2 breaks another record with 9,000 screen count

Prabhas-starrer Baahubali: The Conclusion is India’s biggest movie of the year and is all set to have it's world premiere at a grand event in Mumbai on Thursday.

With the worldwide release on Friday on a never-seen-before scale, Baahubali 2 has broken another record as the screen count has amounted to nearly 9,000 worldwide.

In India, the movie will release in record-breaking 6,500 screens. Baahubali 2 will also get the biggest launch for an Indian movie in the United States with 1,100 screen count in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. Baahubali 2 will be released in Canada on over 150 screens in about 80-plus locations and is the first to release in the original IMAX format in these markets.

Meanwhile, in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji Islands, the Hindi version will have a wide release whereas the Tamil version is set for a huge release across Malaysia.

Even in the UK, Baahubali 2 is set to premiere as part of UK-India Year of Culture events.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj among others in the lead roles, the movie is directed by SS Rajamouli.
