Nellore: Thieves broke into a jewellery shop at Santhapet in the city on Wednesday night and decamped with jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh worth and some cash.
The thieves entered into the JR Jewellers by breaking open the back door and stolen gold ornaments weighing about half-a-kg. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the owner of the shop, Jainlal, police visited the shop and collected clues.
Police observed CCTV footage and registered a case. III Town Circle-Inspector Rama Rao visited the shop along with CLUES team. Rama Rao said teams would be formed to apprehend the culprits on the basis of CCTV footage.
