Vizianagaram: Though it’s a hot summer, large number of public arrived at Prajavani conducted at Collector office here and appealed the government to solve their problems. Most of the people asked to provide pensions and some appealed to provide drinking water.

But the MLC, North Andhra Coordinator for YSRCP K Veera Bhadra Swamy met the collector Vivek Yadav and urged him to take necessary steps to set up a medical college in this district under the management of AP government. Apart from this, he requested him to provide trauma care centre at district government general hospital.

“The public of this district is very poor and they are not in a position to meet their medical expenditure in private hospitals. So it’s necessary to set up government medical college here.” He said. Later he told that he recently visited the government hospital and found many lapses there. The hospital needs some other sophisticated medical equipment to serve better and the ambulances there are frequently getting repaired and those should be replacing by a new vehicles.

Neurology, cardiology and other departments also should be started here to provide health services to those patients. At present cardiology, neurology patients are forced to move to Vizag, Hyderabad for better treatment and required to spend more on this. “he said. Even the out sourcing staff is not being paid their salaries for the past four months and the TDP cadre is demanding bribes to sanction individual welfare schemes like pensions, houses and others. The government should eradicate corruption in their party” he said.
