St Andrews School celebrated Teachers day at their Bowenpally and Keesara campus here on Tuesday. The celebrations at Bowenpally started off with the morning assembly, students took charge as teachers.
It was not merely a source of merrymaking; lessons were learnt about how much effort goes into organizing even a routine task like the morning assembly.
The event themed, ‘Teachers- the Gardeners of Our Life’ stood symbolic of the love, respect and gratitude towards all those individuals – the epitome of knowledge, who have trained us to face life, come what may.
The programme was a medley of phenomenal dances, rejuvenating music, together with a hilarious skit enacted by the students of class XII. This rib tickling comedy was a peek into the students’ lives that had the audience rolling in the aisles.
The celebrations at the Keesara campus began with the morning assembly wherein the students took charge as the Principal, Vice Principal and teachers the classes. A cultural programme followed, which comprised of melodious songs, foot tapping dances, soulful poems and a hilarious skit.
The speeches by the students touched the hearts of the teachers. The entertainment round was followed by the physical round, sports and games were organised which found great favour among the teachers.
The Principal of St Andrews School Bowenpally, Shamita Bhattacharya, ended her speech with a reminder - “Let’s not celebrate our love for teachers, just for a day, but remember what they mean to us, every day, and every moment of life!”
