It is a minor accident, Deputy EO on Boondi Potu fire accident in Tirumala

Tirumala temple deputy executive officer Harindranath said the fire in the in boondi potu was extinguished.

The technical staff in the temple kitchen swung into action and saw the fire was put off before causing any loss of property in the kitchen.

He said fire broke out after the ghee mug slipped and fell on the oven when a worker pouring it in the pan. He said that the fire mishap is a minor one and no casualties reported.

However, due to the fire 20 ovens were kept aside from use for taking up the cleaning following the mishap. The EO said that work in the Potu resumed with the workers commencing Boondi preparation.
