114 Telugu people stranded in Kuwait arrived in Visakhapatnam airport
The initiative of the central government to bring back those living in other countries for livelihood is giving good results. So far, two flights have flown to Visakhapatnam to transfer Andhra Pradesh people from other countries, while another plane on Wednesday night brought 114 Telugu people from Kuwait. Kuwait Airlines (KU-1609) flight (KWT-VTZ) has arrived at Visakhapatnam airport with 114 Telugu people at 9:30 on Wednesday. The airport staff has sanitized the passenger luggage.
Passengers arrived in Visakhapatnam from Kuwait were taken to the Visakha Port Sitarama Kalyana Mandapam and conducted the corona examinations and then shifted to their respective districts on an RTC bus set up by the government and the pay quorum train.
However, since it is unlikely for them to migrate to other countries for livelihood, the government is contemplating to provide livelihood in their own villages.
With the initiative of the Center, the villages are being assessed for livelihood based on the availability of resources. Many say that if this materialized, the people need not flock to other countries for livelihood in the future.
