1,169 acre govt land acquired in Chittoor District Collector N B Guptha

Chittoor: District Collector N B Guptha said that 78 per cent of land pooling has been completed in the district for distributing house sites as per the prescribed schedule. Another 120 acres of land has to be acquired from private owners and negotiations are going on, he said.

Explaining the progress of work relating to house sites distribution to the poor in the district during Chief Minister's video conference held on Tuesday , the Collector said that 1,169 acre of government land was acquired so far in the district and instructions were given to the concerned Mandal Revenue Officers to speed up the process of land pooling. In Chittoor district , 1.24 lakh beneficiaries were identified for issuing the house sites. There has been remarkable progress In urban areas like Chittoor, Tirupati, Madanapalli, Palamaner, Putthur, Srikalahasti, Punganur and Nagari, the Collector said. Development works of the land have been completed both in urban and rural areas, he added. He exuded confidence that by Ugadi festival , house sites would be distributed to all the eligible beneficiaries in the district.

Guptha said Instructions were given to DMHO for creating awareness on carona virus in which the entire medical department would involve. SP S Senthil Kumar, Trainee Collector Prudhiviraj , Joint Collector K Markendeyulu, Joint Collector-2 V R Chandra Mouli, DRO N Vijayachander and PD, DRDA P Murali were present.
