1,500 crore aid given to 70,000 SHGs in East Godavari

Kakinada : East Godavari lead bank district manager (LDM) B V Subrahmanyam said that the 42 banks in the district through their 759 branch network extended Rs 1,500 crore to 70,000 plus SHGs in the district by April 11- 2019 as sought by district authorities . The bankers in the district are providing branch wise, group wise details of loan outstanding as sought by Velugu (DRDA) authorities of East Godavari, he said.

As the loan amount varies from group to group, the bankers are providing details of individual branches also issuing certificates of outstanding of individual groups as was desired by Velugu authorities, the LDM clarified on Tuesday .
