16 injured as tractor overturns in Anantapur's Guntakal

As many as 16 people suffered serious injuries after a tractor they were in overturned on Sunday at Venkatarampalli of Guntakal mandal of Anantapur district.

The incident occurred when the victims, all hailing from Pamidi were returning home after visiting a temple in Kasapuram. The injured were shifted to Guntakal general hospital for treatment. Of the injured, the condition of a victim is stated to be critical.

DSP Khasim visited the hospital and enquired about the matter. A case was registered by the police.

Earlier in the day, four people died in a road accident in Jaggayyapet of Krishna district when a car rammed into a divider and then collided with a car on the other side of the road.

Two people died on the spot and the other two died while on their way to the hospital.
