16 rehabilitation centres set up in Guntur district

Guntur : District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar said that the district administration has taken all the precautionary measures to face threat posed by Cyclone Nivar. He informed that 16 multi-purpose rehabilitation centres in the district were kept ready. He participated in Chief Minister's videoconference from Collectorate in Guntur City on Tuesday.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that they have set up control rooms at district headquarters and mandals. The district administration is ready to shift families residing in four km distance from the sea to the safer places. Steps are taken to give suggestions to the farmers through the Rytu Bharosa Kendras to take precautionary measures to save crops.

Joint collectors A S Dinesh Kumar, P Prasanti, district revenue officer K Chandrasekhar Reddy participated in the videoconference.
