16 staff members of Andhra High Court test positive for coronavirus

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has infected 16 staff members of the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the Chief Justice of High Court has made a sensational decision of cancellation of the court proceedings on Wednesday. The Registrar has issued orders on the advice of Chief Justice. All lower courts of the High Court have issued orders to suspend proceedings. However, in the directives, it has asked to file the petition petitions online for an emergency.

Meanwhile, Coronavirus is spreading in Andhra Pradesh with 704 people being diagnosed with the virus in on Tuesday taking the tally to 14,595 cases in the state. On the other hand, Coronavirus deaths in the state increased to 187.

The highest number of corona deaths in the last 24 hours has been reported in Krishna district, three in Kurnool, two each in Anantapur and Nellore districts. Most of the latest cases were reported in Anantapur and Chittoor districts with more than 100 cases. In the past 24 hours, 18,114 people across the state performed coronary diagnosis. So far, 6,161 people have recovered from the corona, according to the Medical Health Department. A total of 7,897 people are receiving treatment at various hospitals and COVID centers across the state.
