17 injured after bus rams into tree in Chittoor

Seventeen people were injured after a private travels bus rammed into a tree in Chittoor on Sunday.

The accident took place at M Bandapalli of Puthalapattu mandal of Chittoor district when the bus heading to Tirupati from Bengaluru rammed into a tree.

Of the 17 injured, a person's health condition is said to be critical.

The injured were shifted to Chittoor government hospital for treatment. A case was registered by the police.

On Saturday, a bus belonging to SRS travels collided with an SUV leaving 16 dead on the spot near Veldurthy in Kurnool.
