1.82L women to benefit under YSR Cheyutha in Kurnool
Kurnool: Around 1,82,210 women beneficiaries across the district are likely to benefit under YSR Cheyutha scheme. In the first phase, under the scheme the government has released Rs 341.65 crore and the amount would be directly credited into their bank accounts. The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to benefit the women of SC, ST, BC and Minority between the age group of 45 to 60 years, launched the scheme on Wednesday. Under the scheme, each woman would get Rs 18,750 per year and a cumulative of Rs 75,000 in four years. The scheme is intended to financially strengthen the women.
The district collector G Veera Pandiyan, MLAs of Kurnool and Panyam, Hafeez Khan, Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, joint collector Syed Khaza Mohiuddin, DRDA and MEPMA district level officials participated at the video conference held at the Collectorate and officially launched the YSR Cheyutha scheme.
K S Sarojamma, a resident of Pandipadu village in Kallur mandal, said that she lost her husband some time ago and the YSR Cheyutha scheme launched by the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would help her to stand on her feet.
Another woman Rangamma, a resident of Pandipadu village in the same mandal that belongs to Sri Sakthi group, has expressed her happiness as she has availed interest-free amount and Asara scheme. She also said that the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has given Rs 10,000 under Vasathi Deevana. Now, YSR Cheyutha would also benefit her a lot, stated the beneficiary.
