Update: 2019-11-11 00:05 IST

Nidamarru: Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy has announced that a sum of Rs 220.7 crore was deposited into bank accounts of 2,81,534 farmers in West Godavari district under first phase of Rytu Bharosa scheme.

He participated in the special 'Spandana programme' held at MPDO offices at Nidamarru and Unguturu on Saturday. He received petitions from farmers on the occasion and gave directions to the officials to solve their problems at the earliest.

The Joint Collector promised that every eligible farmer would be provided with benefits of the scheme and special Spandana was organised at all mandal headquarters to sensitise the farmers on the scheme and settle their problems.

Referring to non-credit of the benefits to the bank accounts of some eligible farmers, he said that there are various reasons for the same including non-submission of Aadhaar photocopy, beneficiaries staying in distant places, non-linking of Pattadar Passbooks with Aadhaar etc.

The Joint Collector told the farmers to submit relevant documents to the officials and get the amount credited to their bank accounts.
