229 officers take part in Thatipudi training camp

Visakhapatnam: Over 229 trainee officers and sailors undergoing Basic Submarine Course participated in a training camp at Thatipudi, 78 km away from Visakhapatnam from July 5 to 7. The camp, flagged off by Commanding Officer INS Satavahana Cmde CP Vinod, aimed to bolster the teamwork adventure, camaraderie.

The trainees were divided into four divisions and undertook competitive 'Josh' runs and night route marches. Other team activities of the camp included tug-of-war, sports competitions, tent pegging and cultural presentation.

Commanding Officer, INS Satavahana distributed prizes to the winners of the various camp events and the 'Overall Best Division' trophy during the campfire attended by the staff and trainees of all three schools at INS Satavahana.
