25 lakh house pattas will be distributed by Ugadi, says Kodali Nani

Gudivada: Minister for Civil Supplies Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) said that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is extending government schemes without discrimination on the lines of caste, religion and parties. The minister participated as the chief guest at the programme organised by Gudivada Private Electrical Workers Association.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the workers should be careful while discharging their duties. He promised that he would strive for houses for all. He announced that by Ugadi, 25 lakh house pattas would be distributed in the names of women. By March next year, registration will be done. From year 2020, six to seven lakh houses would be constructed yearly and will be given to eligible beneficiaries.

The minister also participated in another programme at Gudivada organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad organisation which distributed artificial limbs to people who lost their limbs or born physically handicapped. The minister appreciated the organisation for its service by distributing artificial limbs and giving a new lease of life to the people with disability.

The minister lit the lamp on the occasion for distribution of artificial limbs. About 1500 artificial limbs were distributed to the physically challenged people on the occasion. Bharat Vikas Praishad president Ramarao, secretary Gangadhar Rao, former president Hanumantha Rao and others were present.
