Chittoor: 25 lakh house sites to be distributed to the poor by Ugadi
Chittoor: Stage has been set to issue 25 lakh house sites to all the eligible poor in the state on or before Ugadi festival, according to Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Apart from the scheme, 20 lakh houses would be constructed to the poor within five years, he added.
Addressing a public meeting held at Kuppam on Saturday, he said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has successfully completed 80 percent of his commitment pertaining to Navaratnalu of YSRCP manifesto. Ration cards and pensions would be issued to all the poor without any discrimination and presently, 52 lakh are getting pension, the minister said.
He flayed that former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has failed to develop Kuppam during his long tenure of 40 years as its legislator. Why Naidu failed to upgrade Kuppam as Municipality where as Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has done the same within six months.
With an out lay of Rs.82 cr Roads would be developed in Kuppam Assembly Constituency while Rs.20 cr was released towards drinking water to Kuppam, he added. Chittoor MP N Reddappa, YSRCP legislators A Srinivasulu, Venkat Goud, M S Babu and Nawab Sharief and others were present.
