302 buses to be operated from East Godavari district

Kakinada: Following demand from passengers, RTC decided to augment its services from Tuesday.

RTC Deputy Chief Traffic Manager, Rajamahendravaram region, NVR Prasad Rao, told to The Hans India here on Monday that 302 buses will be operated from East Godavari district on 40 routes to different places in the State.

The region began operation of 240 buses on 30 routes on May 21. The RTC authorities decided to increase the number of services following demand from passengers.

In view of summer, Amaravati buses will be operated from Rajamahendravaram, Kakinada and Visakhapatnam. The RTC services will ply between 7 am and 7 pm only. The passengers need to maintain social distancing at bus stations and wear face masks.
