32-year-old axed to death

Guntur: A 32-year-old was murdered with an axe at Murikipudi village under Chilakaluripet Rural Police Station limits in Guntur district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to police, the victim Sk Khadar Vali was axed to death by unknown miscreants at Murikipudi village. The police found injuries on his head and suspect that killer's attacked him with an axe due to extramarital affair.

The victim was maintaining a mutton shop in the village for the last one year. He was native of Poluru village under Yaddanapudi mandal of Prakasam district.

Chilakaluripet rural Sub-Inspector G Anil Kumar rushed to the spot and inquired about the murder. The police shifted the body to local government hospital in Chilakaluripet for conducting the post-mortem. Based on the complaint lodged by wife of deceased Sk Shaheen, the police registered a case and investigation is on.
