3.50 quintals of PDS rice seized in Kakinada

Kakinada: The civil supplies officials of East Godavari seized 3.50 quintals of PDS rice and the vehicle used for transport on Wednesday evening. The raids were conducted on a tip off and seized the stocks.

According to civil supplies authorities, seven bags of PDC rice was being transported from Swaminagar in Kakinada rural to Bhogapuaram in Pithapuram mandal.

A case had been registered on the transporter Theta Seshagiri and auto driver Ponnada Prasad.

The raids were conducted by ASO P Suresh and team of civil supplies officials.
