3,989 nominations filed for Assembly in AP elections
Amaravati: For the coming elections in AP the main event of nominations filling has been concluded on Monday.
As per the EC, nearly four thousand candidates are in the race of Assembly. For Lok Sabha, closely 600 candidates have filed the nominations.
With the latest news, for 175 Assembly seats, a total of 3,989 candidates have filed the nominations.
As per the source, it's said that Mangalagiri Assembly constituency has received the most of the nominations.
The Election Commission has uploaded the candidate's affidavit into the official website.
For 25 Parliament segments, 596 candidates have filed their nominations. This time many new candidates from TDP, YSRCP, and Jana Sena are in the elections race.
The former CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana and Pawan Kalyan's brother Nagababu are contesting for Lok Sabha from Janasena party.
On Tuesday (26 March) the scrutiny of nominations will begin from morning 11 AM. It's said the central observers will also take part in the scrutiny process and the entire process will be video recorded.
The March 28 is the last date of withdrawal of candidature. On 11 April the polling is conducted, and on May 23 the votes counting and the results will be declared.
