4,200 acres land identified for house-site pattas: Collector Md Imtiaz
Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Md Imtiaz said the district administration has identified 4,200 acres of land for the distribution of house-site pattas to eligible poor in the district. He said the layout laying work is also continuing and efforts were on to distribute house-site pattas by Ugadi.
He spoke to media on his completion of one-year tenure at the camp office and explained the efforts of the district administration over the implementation of Navaratnalu, the flagship schemes of State government. Referring to sanction of houses, he said 8,500 houses in Jakkampudi will be allotted to the beneficiaries.
Replying to a question, he admitted the district administration was facing some problems to acquire land in urban areas like Vijayawada for the distribution of house pattas.
Referring to his efforts on ban of single use plastic in the district, he said the State government has constituted Krishna and Godavari river board to clean the rivers and canals in the state. He said his campaign against ban on single use plastic was giving fruitful results and the administration has launched vigorous campaign at Rythu bazaars and other important places. He said the efforts were on to start the Machilipatnam port construction works as the government gave permission for it.
He said recruitment of staff for ward and village secretariats, successful conduct of Assembly and general elections was satisfying him in the last one year. Imtiaz said efforts were on to start the Rythu Bharosa centres in the district to help the farming community.
