5-day brainstorming session on Andhra Pradesh progress from May 25

Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would conduct a brainstorming session for five days from May 25 on the progress of the State in view of the completion of one year in office, said Minister for Education Audimulapu Suresh.

Addressing a review meeting with the officials of the Education Department at the Secretariat here on Wednesday, the Minister issued various directions to the officials to bring awareness among people regarding the reforms undertaken in the Education sector, welfare programmes and the infrastructure facilities being developed for promotion of education.

Officials of primary, secondary and higher education departments participated in the review meeting.

The Minister said that the Chief Minister would give directions to the officials during the brainstorming session on the welfare schemes and on measures to be taken to ensure that they reach the people.

The brainstorming would be on agriculture on the first day, education on the second day, medical and health on third day, Grama-Ward voluntary system on fourth day and with the Planning Department on the fifth day.

The Minister instructed the officials to prepare details on Vidya Navaratnalu programme of Amma Vodi, infrastructure for schools, improvement of educational standards, English medium in government schools, implementation of mother tongue, midday meals, uniform, footwear, textbooks for the students in schools, skill development, regulatory commission on private schools and appointment of teachers among others.

Principal Secretary B Rajasekhar, Education department commissioner Vadrevu Chinna Veerabhadrudu, special officer for English Vetri Selvi, Higher Education chairman Ramachandra Reddy and others were present.
