5 held for illegal transportation of sand in Eluru

Eluru: The Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) team apprehended five persons for illegal transportation of sand from Erra Kaluva at Anantapalli on Friday. The team seized four truck loads of sand and a tipper from the arrested.

Acting on the directives of SP Navdeep Singh Grewal and district SEB additional SP Karimulla Sharif, the teams of police have been conducting raids in different places to check illegal transportation of sand and liquor. The special teams have been actively taking part in raids under various police station limits and at Telangana border.
