5 Maoists Killed in An Encounter At Visakha Agency

Five Maoists were killed in an encounter on Sunday in at Visakha Agency. According to the latest reports from police sources, Three men and two women were killed in the operation. The incident took place on Sunday at 11 am at the Boddamadimikkonda area near Annamavaram. when police received the information regarding the Maoists residing in the agency, the geyhound police were deployed to nab the Maoists.

In the course of the 10 hours, 15 to 20 Maoists. confronted with greyhounds police at Boddamadi forest, which resulted in firing where five Maoists were killed in the incident. One SLR pistol, two 303 pistols, six kit bags and an ammunition material were recovered by police from the scene. The tribes at Dharakonda area reported about the incident.

Due to heavy rains, police forces were trapped in the jungle. Maoists' bodies are likely to be brought out by Monday, police sources said. Meanwhile, the Greyhounds, Special Party and CRPF troops continue their operation in the agency.
