62-year-old man rapes second class girl in Srikakulam district

Srikakulam: In a shocking incident, a 62-year-old man has allegedly raped second class studying girl at Mandasa village in Srikakulam district.

The incident came into light lately, when the old man tried to close the issue with the help of village panchayat elders, but as the news spread out, the police have arrested him.

According to the police, Gokarala Rushi (62) belong to Mandasa village has taken a small girl to his house by offering chocolates and raped on August 18.

The next day the girl's health condition has become serious as she complained about the pain to her mother. With this, she was taken to the hospital. The doctors who examined the girl have confirmed the sexual assault has occurred.

The old man has confessed the crime in the presence of village elders and thought to settle the matter by offering the money. However, the girl's parents refused to take any money and approached the police and lodged a complaint.
