7000 employees on elections duty exercises postal ballot votes in Kadapa district

Kadapa: As many as 7,000 employees who were engaged for election responsibilities have exercise their franchise through postal ballot during the a 4 day training programme organized at Koti Reddy women's college, and Saint's Jopesh college in the Kadapa city on Tuesday.

In view of postal ballot bringing available to the government employees who were engaged to election duty The Election Commission of India (ECI), has made such kind of facility first of it's kind in the country.

After inaugurating the four day election training classes at Koti Reddy women's college here on Tuesday, district collector CH. Harikiran said total 25,000 employees in various designations like Presiding officers, Assistant Presiding officers, other staff deployed for election in all 10 assembly segments, 2 Parliamentary Constituencies in the district.

He said that elobarate arrangements were made at constituency wide at the training centers in the interest of employees to have utilize their vote in a phased manner before they leaving training campus.

Stating that training programme on election already conducted two times. Following directions of ECI there will be a possibility of performing training third time following introduction of Vote Verification machines in the electoral process.

Collector directed the officials who deployed for election responsibilities to be at their respective destinations exactly on evening 10 April without fail.
