A shepard found 8 carats diamond in Kurnool district

Kurnool : A shepard while grazing sheep at agriculture lands of Jonnagiri village in Thuggali mandal was known to have found a diamond weighing 8 carats. The local diamond merchants on learning about the diamond has approached the shepard and purchased it for low price of Rs. 20 lakhs. A reliable source has said that the actual value of diamond would be around Rs.50 lakhs.

With the news spreading like a wild fire at the adjacent villages, people in unaccountable numbers are flocking in the fields to search diamonds.

The valuable mineral surfaces from beneath the earth with the erosion of soil.

The searching for diamonds continues till the end of rainy season.
