Aarogyasri hospitals to have Help Desks in Andhra Pradesh by December 10
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has been laying a big platform in regard to public health sector ever since it has come to power. The government has made many changes to YSR Aarogyasri, which is important for the poor. The scheme is applicable if the cost of treatment exceeds Rs. 1000. As part of this, the government is setting up another important Aarogya Mitras to provide Aarogyasri details to every poor person who goes to the hospital.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has directed the authorities to complete the setting up of help desks in all Aarogyasri hospitals by the 10th of this month. He said all public and private health hospitals must have help desks and CCTV cameras. As part of the Spandana program, he held a video conference with collectors, SPs, JCs on various topics from his camp office.
He advised to finalize the SOP on what to do with Aarogya Mitras and directed JCs to see how health support is implemented. Of the 9,800 posts sanctioned in hospitals, 7,700 posts are yet to be filled under the auspices of collectors at the district level, while 5,797 posts have already been filled. Collectors were also directed to take steps to ensure that the remaining posts are also filled quickly in Aarogyasri hospitals.
