Abolition of Article 370 will lead to rise of terrorism in J&K: CPM

Ongole: CPM state executive committee member Dadala Subbarao expressed concern that the abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir will lead to rise in terrorism. Speaking at the party district committee meeting in Sundaraiah Bhavan on Sunday, Subbarao said that it is nothing but insulting the democracy as the use of power by the Central government to abolish Article 370 while neglecting the public voice.

He said that the moment has ended rights that the Kashmiris enjoyed until now. He condemned the government's action to send back Sitaram Yechury, before meeting the Kashmiri leaders and expressing solidarity to them and demanded the public community condemn the same.

Another executive body member Y Venkateswara Rao said that he demanded the YSRCP government in the state to implement development oriented programmes along with the daily programme.

He said that the CPM will welcome creation of new jobs but he advised the government to not to remove the scheme workers, animators, ration shop dealers etc. The CPM district secretary, Poonati Anjaneyulu said that the public are facing a very hard time in receiving drinking water and demanded that the state government address the issue immediately.

He demanded that the government should provide a transparent system to provide sand, pay the ex gratia immediately to the farmers etc. The CPM committee members, Andra Malyadri, GV Kondareddy, Pentyla Hanumantha Rao, Chikati Srinivasa Rao, SK Mabu, Kankanala Anjaneyulu and others also participated in the meeting.
