CID seeks Naidu's custody in Skill Development case, says need to be questioned further
The Anti Corruption Bureau Court has continued hearing on the bail and custody bail petition of Chandrababu Naidu. AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy representing CID has putforth arguments on the custody petition. He explained how violations were committed in the skill development agreement. He stated that despite the decision of the Cabinet, the agreement was not implemented as intended. Ponnavolu further claimed that Chandrababu is responsible for the mistakes made in the agreement.
Additionally, Ponnavolu mentioned that Chandrababu still needs to be questioned regarding certain bank transactions, suggesting that further investigation is required. He argued that the Prevention of Corruption Act should be applied to Chandrababu, indicating potential allegations of corruption.
On the other hand, AAG Ponnavolu emphasized the need to take Chandrababu into custody in order to gather additional evidence and information.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu's lawyer, Pramod Kumar Dubey, is presenting counterarguments to the claims made by the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) during the proceedings.
