ACB sleuths nab Tahsildar in Kurnool

Kurnool: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped the Tahsildar of Sanjamala mandal on Thursday at his office along with bribe amount.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police M Nagabushanam disclosing the details to media persons, said that Tahsildar R Govind Singh demanded bribe from J Rameshwar Reddy a farmer and resident Alavakonda village in Sanjamala mandal for issuing e-pass book and processing of land mutation.

``Rameshwar Reddy had approached the ACB and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, we laid a trap and nabbed the Tahsildar red handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 5,000 at his office. We have seized the amount and took him into custody,'' the DSP said. A case has been filed and the accused will be produced in the ACB Court, he added.
