Action plan for 24x7 water supply in Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram: Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Administration Botcha Satyanarayana said that an action plan would be designed to provide 24x7 water supply to people of Vizianagaram in the coming days. Under the plan, he said the town would get round-the-supply of water from January 26.

Participating in a series if development works in the city, the minister said for that purpose, pipeline works between Tarakarama Teertha Sagar to Vizianagaram town would be completed on priority basis.

Laying foundation stone for development works worth Rs 14.49 lakh, Botcha said the leaders, who were in power for long time, had totally ignored the development of town and they didn't listen to grievances and demands of the public.

He said the government sanctioned permission to excavate sand from 16 acres of ramp at Denkada mandal to resolve the sand problem issue. Collector M Harijawaharlal and MLA K Veerabhadra Swamy participated in the programme.
