Action sought against Simhapuri Hospitals
Nellore: Activists, who have been staging protests in the city, demanding action against the management of Simhapuri Hospitals in organ donation issue have lay sieged the Collectorate on Tuesday. It may be recalled that the JAC members are on relay hunger protests at Vennelakanti Raghavaiah Bhavan from May 16 and they warned the administration to lay siege the Collectorate on 28.
As there was no action from the government, they sat before the Collectorate in huge number with raised slogans against the government demanding action against the hospital. Leaders, who organised the protest, said that though the case related to THOA Act, but it has been converted as atrocity against tribal people still the responsible were not arrested.
Further, the hospital management already obtained stay orders from the High Court responding to the notice served by the Medical and Health department for cancellation the registration. CPI, CPM, Jana Sena and other leaders were present.
