After severe criticism, TTD governing body decides not to sell trust properties
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam trust board meeting chaired by chairman YV Subba Reddy has made a crucial decision of holding back the sale of TTD lands. He said that the governing council has taken the decision in lines with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy decision. It made it clear that they are not selling the land and assets under any circumstances.
YV Subba Reddy said TTD lands would be protected rather than alienated. He said he would take the advice and suggestions of the elders of the Hindu religion before taking the decision of selling lands. The chairman sought a comprehensive investigation into the conspiracy against the TTD.
"We have passed a resolution rejecting the previous governing body's decision to sell the lands and no guesthouses have been allocated since we came to power. Allocation of the guesthouse is done in a completely transparent manner," YV Subba Reddy asserted. He said that they have decided to build a children's hospital under TTD and made comments of Srivari Darshans saying that it would take the decision after the relaxation of lockdown rules.
The video conference was chaired by board chairman YV Subba Reddy and was attended by EO Anil Kumar Singhal from Tirupati, Additional EO Dharma Reddy and special invitees Karunakar Reddy and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. The remaining members participated from their home via online. This is the first time in the history of TTD, the governing Council held through a video conference.
