All set for launch of village secretariats on Oct 2

Anantapur: ZP Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shobharani has stated that all arrangements are being made for the full-fledged functioning of Village Secretariats from October 2.

Addressing the media at her chambers here on Friday, Shobharani said that so far, 896 secretariats have been organised and proposals for 16 more have been sent to the government for its funding.

As of now, 720 own buildings have been identified for housing Village Secretariats and the remaining will be housed in local school buildings. The CEO said one mandal would be developed a model secretariat providing all facilities including computers and printers.

She mentioned examinations had been conducted successfully for the posts of secretariat employees from September 1-8 for which 1,74,814 candidates took the examination. Results will be out after September 20, she stated. District Panchayat Officer Ramnath Reddy was also present.
