All set for the launch of distribution of house site pattas, YS Jagan to launch in East Godavari

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy takes part in the foundation laying ceremony of Apache Footwear India Pvt Ltd unit at Pulivendula on Thursday. 

As part of the 'Navratnalu' house distribution for the Poor' scheme, house site pattas will be distributed to 30.75 lakh beneficiaries in the state. CM Jagan will inaugurate the program in East Godavari district on Friday and delivery of parts will be for 15 days. The Revenue Department has said it will distribute houses to 30,75,755 women on 68,361 acres of land with a market value of Rs 23,535 crore across the state. Of these, 23.37 lakh are eligible for free house site pattas while 2.5 lakh people will be provided housing by TIDCO. It was decided to give a 300 sq ft house for just Rs. Approximately 4.86 lakh people are eligible for regularisation by occupying government lands. In the first phase, 15.60 lakh houses will be paved with 1.5 cents land each in rural areas and 1 cent in urban areas will be distributed to the beneficiaries. These layouts were renamed as 'Jagananna Colony'. Thus 17,500 colonies were formed across the state. House site pattas are going to be given to the poor in the form of 'BSO 21'.

Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department V Usha Rani issued orders to this effect on Thursday. Government sources said 13 lakh saplings have been planted in the layouts under 'MGNREGA'. Although the distribution of house site pattas has been postponed several times, the government initially decided to make formal registrations and issue pattas. Made necessary arrangements to this extent and decided to issue D.Pattas for the time being as the matter is in the court.

Arrangements are complete in Komarigiri

YSR Jagananna Colony in Komaragiri of U. Kottapalli Mandal in East Godavari district. CM Jagan will participate in the event here on Friday and distribute the house site pattas. The pylon will be unveiled as a symbol of the scheme launch. The 350-acre layout in Komaragiri is beautifully landscaped. In addition to the distribution of the house site pattas, a locally built model house will be considered for laying the foundation stone for the houses sanctioned in the first installment. Meanwhile, Covid‌ tests were conducted on Thursday for those attending a public meeting to be held on the occasion. The CM will arrive at Rajahmundry Airport at 1 pm on Friday. His tour of the district will last for three and a half hours. Although it was Christmas on Friday, TIDCO cancelled the holiday for the Sub-Registrar's offices so that houses could be registered in the names of the beneficiaries.

On the other hand, governor Biswabhushan Harichandan approved the AP Assigned Lands Amendment Act. The law department on Thursday ordered it to be published in the Gazette.
