Amaravati: Bypoll to Sunitha's MLC post on Jan 28

Amaravati: The Election Commission of India has announced the by-election to the casual vacancy of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council vacancy arose by the resignation of MLC Pothula Suneetha.

The EC has decided to hold the by-election on January 28, 2021. The last date of filing nominations is January 18, scrutiny of nominations is on January 19, last date of withdrawal of nominations is January 21. Counting of votes will be held on January 28 at 5 pm.

Sunitha had resigned on November 1, 2020 though her term in office was up to March 3, 2023. Notification for the election will be issued on Monday.
