Amaravati farmers JAC holds Vehicle rally in Tulluru against three capitals
The protests of the farmers of the capital region against the shifting of the secretariat from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam continued for the 43rd day on Wednesday. Following the Vehicle rally call given by the Amaravati JAC in demand to retain Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh, a large number of farmers and women participated in the rally. Thousands of people are protesting with cars, two-wheelers, autos and tractors by raising slogans in support to Amravati.
Despite the high temperatures, it is noteworthy that a large number of women participate in the rally. The farmers who spoke to media before the start of the rally has alleged the government of malafide intention behind the formation of three capitals and said that they would not stop the agitation until the government withdraws the decision of mooting three capitals. Former MLA Sravankumar and CPI leader Muppalla Nageswara Rao took part in the rally in support to farmers.
The rally would reportedly continue through 29 villages in the capital along Raayapudi, Uddandarayunipalem, Modu Lingayapalem, Velagapudi, Malkapuram, Mandadam, Krishnayapalem, Penumaka, Errabalem, Nidamarru, Kurugalla, Harichandrapuram, Dondapadu, Borupalem respectively.
