Amaravati: No Coronavirus case in State: Health bulletin
Amaravati: There are no cases of Novel Coronavirus in the State, says a health bulletin released by the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare here on Saturday.
The bulletin recalled that the World Health Organisation has declared the recent Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) epidemic affecting 24 countries as international public health emergency of international concern. It pointed out that till date 74 travelers who arrived from Corona-affected countries have been identified and placed under surveillance and 73 of them are under home isolation and 1 has completed the 28 days observation period without any symptoms.
Samples collected from six people, all tested negative. However, isolation wards were set up in all government general hospitals and district hospitals.
People are advised to adhere to health advisories issued by the State Government. The bulletin appealed to the people to follow cough etiquette by covering the nose and mouth using handkerchief /towel while sneezing/coughing.
They are also advised to do frequent hand-washing with soap and water. It is better that people who have arrived from the corona-affected countries should remain under strict home isolation for 28 days from the date of arrival in India.
